Andrew William Erdrich is Co-founder & Principal for BREAD! KC. Andrew’s work succinctly reinterprets and joins familiar facets of domestic, commercial, professional, private, & public spaces. Amongst other things Andrew is currently employed at Vahalla Studios, a member of the band Sneaky Creeps, & a current Charlotte Street Foundation, Urban Culture Project resident. He and Sean Starowitz have been friends since they first began attending the Kansas City Art Institute in 2006 and started collaborating after graduating together in 2010.
Sean M. Starowitz is Baker, Co-founder, and Principal of BREAD! KC. Starowitz’s work is executed in a variety of social, political, and community engaged contexts. Gathering inspiration from everyday practices, Starowitz creates opportunities for alternative economies and exchanges, such as Wheels for Meals (http://thepaintswatch.blogspot.com/2009/11/wheels-for-meals.html), BREAD! KC (http://breadkc.wordpress.com/), and The Compost-Post (http://thepaintswatch.blogspot.com/2010/08/compost-post_21.html). Starowitz is a 2010 graduate of the Interdisciplinary Arts program at the Kansas City Art Institute.
Both individuals have been curating for the VAGABOND pop-up restaurants in the Kansas City area. This is their first major curatorial endeavor.
